Fat Tuesday sculpture designs from ice dragon
colored mask
Oddly enough, this design was based on a mask sculpture done by a company in Ohio. Among other things, we added the purple, green, and gold accents, giving it a touch of the real Mardi Gras!
comedy and tragedy masks
This colorful version of the comedy and tragedy masks decorated a mayoral Mardi Gras affair at stately Gallier Hall in New Orleans, which is right on the St. Charles Avenue parade route.
This year, Mardi Gras fell on February 16th, but the party started early in January! Check out some Mardi Gras-related ice sculptures below. Other designs not shown include jesters, a crown, other variations on the fleur-de-lis, different masks, and more! You’ll notice that a few of the designs are lineart instead of photos. Sometimes it’s because we don’t have a good photo of the actual sculpture, but other times it means that this is a great new design that we’re just waiting for someone to use at their event! narrow fleur-de-lis
Obviously, this particular fleur-de-lis was used at a Krewe of Endymion event. But this piece can be easily customized for your event as well.
mini scrollwork fleur-de-lis
Standing about 18 inches high, this mini-fleur-de-lis fits where other sculptures won’t and could be used for individual table centerpieces.
trumpet
Louis Armstrong was one of many reasons that New Orleans is the birthplace of Jazz and the trumpet was his instrument of choice.
Rex crest
The legendary Krewe of Rex crowns the King of Mardi Gras each year and lately, their yearly celebrations have included an elegant ice sculpture such as the one at right.
color fleur-de-lis
The fleur-de-lis is a classic symbol of New Orleans and this version incorporates the classic colors of Mardi Gras: purple, green, and gold
trumpet double luge
This version of the trumpet design includes twin ice luges and would fit very well at an elegant Mardi Gras martini bar.
standing gator
Although it’s tough to see, this gator is holding a bottle of Dixie Beer, an original New Orleans beer that has seen some difficult times since Katrina in 2005. Dixie hopes to rebuild its damaged brewery while its beers are produced by another brewer under contract.
feathered color mask
Sporting icy feathers and purple, green, and gold “beads,” this elaborate mask fits well at any Mardi Gras event
scrollwork fleur-de-lis
This is one of our most popular designs. The widespread appeal of this intricately detailed fleur-de-lis has made it popular at weddings as well as New Orleans/Mardi Gras themed events.
saxophone double luge
Like the trumpet double luge above, this saxophone sculpture also incorporates twin ice luges.
fleur-de-lis ice bar
This 6 foot long ice bar incorporates an asymmetrical fleur-de-lis as its central decor
“Happy Mardi Gras!” mask
This simple jester mask incorporates an equally simple message that is really what Mardi Gras is all about: spreading happiness.
Spirit of Mardi Gras
This delicate piece depicts a dancing couple. We’ve also done this piece with a large fleur-de-lis base in competition.
