ice dragon ice sculptures offers the finest quality ice sculptures in New Orleans and throughout much of the Gulf South. our general delivery area (see the map above) ranges along I-10 from Baton Rouge to Pensacola and north to Hattiesburg and includes Slidell, Gulfport, Biloxi, and Mobile. on occasion we have events as far west as Lafayette, as far east as Tallahassee, and as far north as Jackson, MS. for very special events, we can go anywhere.

most ice dragon pieces are hand carved by Dawson List. Dawson is a gold medal ice sculptor (NICA and ACF) that has carved throughout the U.S. and travelled as far as Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean to carve ice sculptures. Dawson has carved ice for 19 years and competed at 5 national championships (finishing as high as 4th), 3 world championships (finishing as high as 2nd in a team event), and at the Olympic carving competition in Provo, UT in 2002.

ice carving techniques and technology are quickly advancing as ice artists adapt computer aided machinery to carving ice. more and more often, our logo and graphic sculptures, as well as many ice serving pieces, are carved on some of the most modern CNC ice machinery available. this enables multiple color effects and high precision graphics and sizing that cannot be efficiently or affordably carved by hand. our portfolios will contain more and more machined designs as time goes on.
