Dawson List of Ice Dragon is pictured with the sculpture created by he and his teammate, Erik Cantine. Erik and Dawson represented the United States in the 2000 World Ice Sculpture Championships in Lulea, Sweden. Despite the fact that the competition was held near the Arctic Circle and in February, temperatures were often above freezing. This life-size, stylized sculpture of a winged faerie was created from a single large block of crystal clear ice. She's surrounded by small orbs and each of the orbs contains a unique celestial design. Erik and Dawson were awarded the "People's Choice Award" for their sculpture.
