Dawson List of Ice Dragon created this sculpture in two and a half hours during the second day of the 2000 National Ice Carving Association Championships, held in Munster, IN (just outside of Chicago.) This was his single-block entry (on the first day, he carved his two-block entry.) He was awarded third place for the day and, combined with his first day score, he was awarded an overall fourth place at the National Championships. This sculpture depicts a woman leaping through a dancing flame.
